I just saw in Berkeleyside of Elmer's passing. We probably had not seen each other since the early 80's. However he made an imprint on my life and created wonderful memories (thought about often) of our shared moments. During my tenure as director of Camp Kee Tov, I had occasion to call on him for professional advise. Most indelible for me, though, were the times we were able to share coffee, debate world issues, solve so many challenges and touch each other. Elmer was a gentle giant of warmth, caring,, intellect, excitement for life and so many things.

I alm so fortunate to have known this kind friend.
