From: Sarah Baughn

Dr. Grossman was my pediatrician at Berkeley Peds until I was 22 - when he gently suggested I move on to a grown up doctor. I wish I had had the experience of bringing my own children to him (but had to settle for Dr. Cuthbertson who I still thought of as the “new guy”). I was so happy when Dr. Grossman published his book for parents, and my mom and I were front and center when he did a book talk. I got a signed copy!!
He was truly a one of a kind person and a great humanist. I think he had more than a passing influence on us Berkeley kids of the 70s-90s. I wish we could known him outside of his professional capacity, but I am so happy you have shared so much of what he loved doing in your memorial piece - a lovely portrait.
My condolences to your family.
Sincerely, Sarah Baughn
