From: Doug and Anne Stewart

We first met Elmer after the birth of our son Keven in 1975 when we looked around Berkeley for the best Pediatrician  in the region.  Our interest was to find a physician who was both knowledgeable, caring  and psychologically aware.  All recommendations pointed to Elmer Grossman, MD.   We were fortunate enough to get into his practice (in high demand) and he was the doctor for our son Loren as well.  Over the years, we were also fortunate enough to get to know both Elmer and Pam outside of the practice of Pediatrics and we gradually became good friends.  Over the past few years, we have shared dinners together, hard fought games of Rummy Cube, Anne's walks with Pam, and Doug's lunches with Elmer in some of the fine Asian cuisine restaurants in Berkeley.   We have been so fortunate to share these memorable times with Pam and Elmer and to know them for the very intelligent, compassionate, witty and supportive people that they are.   We will miss Elmer more than we can say and extend our sincere condolences to all members of Pam and Elmer's extended family.
